Cat Games

Unlike dogs, cats are usually less stimulated to play games. They eat, sleep, get your cuddles, and laze around the house. That's a cat's life. But, this should not be the case. Your cat's life should have an element of excitement in it. And what better way to excite and entertain your cat than play games with her?

Thinking about different type of games for cats? Well, games do contribute to the mental as well as physical health of your pussy. She forgets ennui and remains in an alert and cheerful state of mind.

Generally, kittens play more than the adult cats. Actually, the cat owners are to be blamed for this. We think that adult cats don't need much physical exercise, are low maintenance animals, and hence, we tend to ignore them. This is so untrue!

Cats need to play games. They love interactive plays. And this is not just for your pussy's health. You, too, get exercise and entertainment by playing with your pet. How it brings a smile to your face when your cuddly cat stands on its hind paws trying to catch the dangling toy from your hand! Oh, she looks so cute! Already, you're de-stressed from the day's hard work.

There are hundreds of free cat games that you can play. Be as imaginative as you can. The idea is to get your cat on her toes. You can play "chase" with her. She chases you around the house, across the stairs, over the sofa, and from room to room. Chase and chase till she gets tired. Another fascinating game is tying an attractive item at one end of a string and dangling it across the house. Let your cat catch its "prey" once in a while to make her feel proud of her hunting prowess!

You can even teach your cat to fetch things. Although they are not as efficient as dogs in fetching things, they can still learn how to do it. Try this game. Calling your cat's name, fling an attractive item across the room. If she were interested, she would react. If she looks the other way, drop the game.

Cats can amuse themselves by creating their own games. Just provide them with something fascinating like a ball of wool, a ping-pong ball, or a catnip toy and watch them remain busy for hours. Remember; cats are carnivores. Therefore, they love games that encourage the hunting behavior. A fake mice or rabbit will do the trick. Tie it with a string and let your cat stalk and pounce at it - a perfect game for a cat!

There are many advantages of playing big cat games. Cats, or any other pet for that matter, bring happiness and health in our lives. But, this can happen only if we tend to them fully and completely.
