• Start litter training once your kitten turns a month old. Place the kitten in its litter box as soon as she has finished her meal. You could stimulate her interest in litter by stirring it. Also do not restrain her from jumping around in the litter box. Also place a small toy in the box that would help your kitten keep occupied.

• Never feed your kitten cows milk. The milk can make her sick and give her diarrhea. Instead you can give her mothers milk replacer which is available at most pet stores.
• When your kitten would have crossed 8 weeks of age, it would no longer require to be fed with milk. You can now move on to solid food. Though if your kitten still loves to drink milk, do give it some helpings of it once or twice a day.
• Ensure good kitten health by giving your kitten clean and fresh water. Keep her bowl low enough for her to drink whenever she wants to. Though do make sure that you have a heavy bowl for feeding your kitten as most cats love to flip over their water and food and play on it.
• Offer your kitten a variety of dry, canned and freshly prepared food. Make sure that you feed her every few hours as they have a small appetite and need to be fed frequently.
• Though kittens instinctively clean themselves up, still it is also very important for you too to give it a warm water bath every day.
